Introduction to Shakespeare - Speaking in Tongues: Theatre Workshops

This workshop is open to everyone aged 15+ who has an interest in finding out more about Shakespeare: how to speak his words, how to grasp the meaning and how to begin to express that meaning in delivery! The workshop will include fun practical activities designed to instil confidence and develop the ability to work on Shakespeare’s text, using extracts from Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It is not necessary for participants to read or prepare the texts in advance. Activities will include group work and individual work, and will involve elements of performance. The workshop leaders have experience of acting Shakespeare professionally in Great Britain. This session would suit anyone with a reasonable level of English.
