En: A performance about the tireless fight that something should happen in life. And the disillusionment that if something happens, it won’t be the right thing. That the more you want to experience the less you experience. A performance that tries to understand what drives people and how we can commit ourselves. A performance with three people who want to be together. A fresh and humurous piece both strong and funny, Field narrates through the best love songs ever this human need to connect and the struggle to understand what it means to do so. The trio of dancers will attempt to answer these questions and invite the audience to do so alongside them while the beat goes on. Field shows a mechanism of the inability to really meet each other.

Tabea Martin is a Swiss prolific choreographer and performer, based in Amsterdam as well as in Basel and Zurich. After studying Modern Theatre Dance at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten and Choreography at the Rotterdamse Dansacademie in Holland, she began developing her work as a choreographer in which sociological questions occupy a central role. As such, she takes human behaviour within different contexts as the subject of her research and focuses more on the creative process than the actual end result. For her choreographic work, Tabea won the Wim Barry Prize in Holland and was nominated by the Dutch Dance Days for promising young choreographers.

Fr: Trois corps sont dans l’attente d’une expérience, d’un événement, d’une explosion. Pour se sentir vivants, ils s’agrippent, expriment l’irrépressible besoin l’un de l’autre et l’inéluctable solitude. Field met en scène ce besoin de chacun et interroge sur la façon de se « connecter » et de communiquer avec les autres. « Comment conjuguer individualité et groupe ou encore comment s’engager envers l’autre et ne pas se perdre ? ». Ce sont des réponses à ces questions qu’essaie de donner ce trio qui évolue au gré des « meilleures chansons d’amour ». Un spectacle rafraîchissant et en même temps tragique sur la peur qui rassemble aussi sûrement qu’elle n’isole…

La suissesse Tabea Martin s’est formée à la Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, à la Rotterdamse Dansacademie aux Pays-Bas et dans différentes compagnies en Allemagne et en Irlande. Elle collabore avec de nombreux artistes internationaux et est régulière- ment invitée à de grands festivals. Son travail a la particularité de traiter de questions sociologiques. Elle a déjà remporté le Wim Barry Prize aux Pays-Bas et a été nominée pour les Dutch Dance Days dans la catégorie promising young choreographers.
