Contemporary dance extravaganza !

Anu Sistonen & Beata Szalwinska will start off the evening with a preview of their new performance « Two Alone ».

Two women on stage moved by Karol Szymanowski préludes.

It will be followed by the exclusive and acclaimed Yukio Suzuki Company presenting Etude, a contemporary Japanese dance piece where the land is the stage. A ring of LED lights producing tens of thousands of colours is placed above the dancers, illuminating their relationship with nature. As dance and music combine to distort time and space, the vastness of geological time is revealed.

Yukio Suzuki (choreographer, dancer) is one of the most talked-about choreographers and dancers in Japan today. The works born from his highly trained body are ripe with compelling tension. He gained attention in the dance world for his documentary-like style of directing and choreography that places great emphasis on the dancers physical prowess and presence.
