A lecture exploring our understanding of close encounters with cultural markers - including reconstructions - in the 21st century. The Times Literary Supplement called Mr Holland's translation of Herodotus ´the best English translation to have appeared in the past half-century´. His 2019 best-seller, Dominion: The Making of the Western Mind, examines the interplay between culture and religion in the modern world.

Other contributors will include, Mr Roger Michel, Institute for Digital Archaeology, Dr Alexy Karenowska, Institute for Digital Archaeology and Department of Physics, University of Oxford, and Dr Daniel Robinson, Department of History and Magdalen College, University of Oxford.
