United Instruments of Lucilin invite you to participate in the Contemporary Music Academy by Lucilin, taking place from Monday 14 November to Saturday 19 November 2022, in neimënster.

United Instruments of Lucilin invite the talented instrumentalists to participate in the Contemporary Music Academy by Lucilin, taking place from Monday 14 November to Saturday 19 November 2022, in neimënster.

What is the Contemporary Music Academy?

In collaboration with neimënster and the festival rainy days, United Instruments of Lucilin will establish an academy, the only one of its kind in Luxembourg, for professional instrumentalists from all over Luxembourg and the Greater Region – and also for anyone aiming for a professional career.

What can you expect?

During one week, you will work and rehearse with the professional musicians from United Instruments of Lucilin and other students. The week will feature group rehearsals in the morning, individual coaching on playing techniques by members of the ensemble in the afternoon and the opportunity for personal work.

The programme for each participant includes the preparation of a short solo piece, a chamber music and a tutti piece by different inspiring composers such as Tom Johnson, Gérard Pesson, Julián Ávila, Martyna Kosecka and Catherine Kontz.

The chamber and tutti pieces are being prepared for a concert taking place on Saturday 19 November as part of the programme of the festival rainy days 2022. During this event you will share the neimënster’s stage with the Lucilin musicians.

How can you register?

You play violin, viola, flute, clarinet, saxophone, piano or percussion and would like to participate in the Contemporary Music Academy by Lucilin ? Then send an email with your application including a short resume to hello@lucilin.lu.

The deadline for registration is 15 September and the participation fee amounts to 200 Euros. The participants will receive a reply on 1 October and, in case of acceptance, they will get the required scores.

The Contemporary Music Academy by Lucilin is organised with the support and collaboration of neimënster and the rainy days festival Philharmonie Luxembourg
