With Weaver, a dance piece for three female dancers, choreographer Anne-Mareike Hess will use the image of weaving and its inherent creative potential of connecting and networking, and transfer it into a contemporary choreographic reflection on our contemporary society - a story in which past and future, individual and collective fate of the female body are interwoven into the dense fabric of social togetherness. 

In the past 3 years, Anne-Mareike Hess has been associated artist at Neimënster. After the solos Warrior (2018) and Dreamer (2021), the trio Weaver is the third dance piece premiering at Neimënster in the context of this partnership.In this series of three works the artist tries to fight her way through the tangle of stereotypical ideas of being a woman. 

Avec Weaver, une pièce de danse pour trois danseuses, la chorégraphe Anne-Mareike Hess reprend l’image du tissage et son potentiel créatif inhérent de connexion et de mise en réseau, et la transpose dans une réflexion chorégraphique sur notre société contemporaine – une histoire dans laquelle le destin du corps féminin est tissé dans le tissu dense de la coexistence sociale.

Au cours des 3 dernières années, Anne-Mareike Hess a été artiste associée à Neimënster. Après les solos Warrior (2018) et Dreamer (2021), le trio Weaver est la troisième pièce de danse créée à Neimënster dans le cadre de ce partenariat. Dans cette série de trois œuvres, l’artiste est poussée à affirmer sa propre féminité et à s’interroger sur les stéréotypes associés aux femmes.
