Chantel has played guitar for most of her life, but put her musical career on hold while working towards a First Class Honours Degree in Popular Music. Since then she has lit up stages all over Europe (including the Brasserie in 2012 & 2014), playing songs from her first album, Like No Other, together with an amazingly diverse range of covers. With her second album completed and soon to be released, Chantel’s musical journey can best be charted by her successes in the British Blues Awards. She was Young Artist of the Year in 2011, going on to take the Female Vocals title in 2012 & 2013 and, probably more satisfyingly, she also became the first ever female winner of Guitarist of the Year in 2013. Chantel retained that honour in 2014 and has been nominated again this year!
