Room Robert Krieps

The former prison atelier, formerly known as the Tutesall, houses a 283-seat theatre equipped for performing arts and conferences/projections. The soft, warm atmosphere, the dark velvets, the omnipresent wood, the high ceilings, the lighting, the openings to the outside and the spectacular character of the Krudelspuert - the door of the fortress cleared during the construction of the Wenzel circuit - give the hall a distinctive aura. A refreshment room in the basement is also available for receptions and snacks. It also offers refreshments during the intermissions and a terrace on sunny days with a view of the Alzette and the walkway of the Wenzel route. The neimënster auditorium is named after Robert Krieps, Minister of Justice and Culture, who, as a former deportee who spent time in the Grund prison at the age of 17, had the idea and the will to transform these places of detention into places of culture and encounter.
