Restitution | Scaphandres Party - Résidence de création
The present moment is what brings the artists and the audience together. Scaphandres Party is a performance based on this present moment. We dive into it.
Scaphandres Party is an improvised performance.
An interdisciplinary network, directed by Samuel Ber and composed of the musicians of the jazz and improvised music trio Pentadox (with Sylvain Debaisieux on tenor saxophone, Bram De Looze on piano and Samuel Ber on drums), actors Yoann Blanc and Faustine Boissery, video artist Jeanne Cousseau and lighting designer Sam Mary, draws its own territory.
Thus is born a kingdom, ribbed with paths, streams, circuits, and switches that are all the interactions that the 7 protagonists (all present on the stage) maintain and develop.
Scaphandres Party speaks of the joy of invention, distortion, and detour. An imaginary cartography is created, inhabited by bodies, sounds, images, movements, texts, and luminosities… The borders are mobile, and new sound and visual spaces can emerge at any moment.
But what is this strange territory, finally, traversed by a festive tribe, if not a large playground?
