After the first successful edition in Luxembourg in July 2021, Big Bang festival is coming back to neimënster to transform the Abbey during a whole weekend into a musical labyrinth. Children 5 years and up can discover interactive shows, concerts and musical installations – not just as audience members but as active participants. Big Bang festival can be understood as an ode to adventurous sound art for the whole family, guaranteeing a fun day exploring, listening, gazing, experimenting, laughing and performing.

roundABOUT Tsubasa

This magical circular box can accommodate a small audience, a soloist and literally surround them with video and sound. Japanese percussionist Tsubasa Hori steps into this magical arena. Her world is that of the Taiko drum, but she also plays a whole range of instruments. Accompanying herself on the Shamisen, she sings and tells stories.

“Madeleines dans la Galaxie” is a journey into a world of brass and wind instruments. Trumpets, tubas and trombones recall a world of wonderful sounds through a particular tangle of pipes and tubes, which encircle the audience in a kind of sound igloo.

Sming is an interactive choral installation offering people the possibility to be both conductor and choir. The visitor’s voice is recorded and then modified by software to compose the complete choir, from baritone to soprano. Each screen is a voice of the choir and is created from the original sound that was recorded
